Agriculture:

We manage high-performance farms where oranges and avocados take center stage. Our citrus production combines decades of expertise with precision pruning and nutrition techniques, resulting in fruit with exceptional quality, size, and flavor.

At the same time, we have made a strong commitment to avocado cultivation, implementing smart irrigation systems designed to optimize every drop of water. This dual approach allows us to diversify our offering and supply some of Europe’s most demanding markets with produce harvested at its optimal point of ripeness and delivered with maximum freshness.

A key factor that sets us apart is the integration of our value chain. We cultivate our own cereals for animal feed production, ensuring full traceability throughout the feeding process of our livestock.

This self-sufficiency model allows us to control the quality and purity of our animals’ diet from the very beginning, eliminating intermediaries and ensuring balanced, natural feed produced on our own land. It is our way of closing the production cycle with responsibility, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Livestock:

Our livestock operations focus on the Retinta breed, one of the finest native breeds of the southwestern Iberian dehesa, renowned for its hardiness and the exceptional quality of its beef. In line with our commitment to the environment, we follow an extensive farming model in which animals are raised freely, ensuring natural grazing, animal welfare, and respect for the natural cycles of the local ecosystem.

At HERVAZ, we go beyond the traditional livestock model. Rather than limiting our activity to the weaning stage, we manage the subsequent phases of the value chain ourselves, including the fattening and finishing of calves. This end-to-end control allows us to maintain the Group’s standards of excellence throughout the entire breeding process, ensuring consistency and superior product quality.

All of our production is marketed through DCOOP, the largest agri-food cooperative in Southern Europe. This partnership reinforces our commitment to Spain’s primary sector. Our relationship with the cooperative also goes far beyond commercial collaboration: Carlos Vázquez, a member of HERVAZ’s second generation, serves as President of DCOOP’s Beef Division, helping to shape the strategy of a sector that plays a vital role in the Spanish economy.
